Sam's Essential Snippet: Clary Sage
Clary Sage is one of the most healthful essential oils with possible antifungal, antiseptic, antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties. Its most popular use in holistic medicine is to treat spasms such as muscle cramps, headaches and stomachaches. It does this by relaxing the nerve impulses that we can’t control. Many women use Clary Sage for estrogen balance including ailments of the ovaries and uterus, but it can help anyone with circulation and high blood pressure. Clary Sage oil in its diluted form may have a positive impact upon some strains of bacteria. Researchers think it could be an effective treatment alone or in addition to traditional treatments for wound care.
In 2020, I tried Clary Sage as a natural induction method to start labor with my very (very) overdue baby. I just applied a few drops on my abdomen and massaged gently. This (combined with Lori's amazing induction massage) resulted in me holding my newborn about 24 hours later.
This massage studio provides high-quality, therapeutic massages only.
